Privacy Policy

FlowForged Analytics LLC (“FlowForged Analytics”, “we”) runs flowforgedanalytics.com and makes indicators for NinjaTrader 8. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who handles it for us, and how to get a copy of it or have it deleted. What we collect and why

• Free tool requests. Your email address, the tool you asked for and the page you asked from. We use them to email you the download link, and to answer you if you write back. If the download is unavailable when you ask, we keep the request and email the link once it is available again.
• Beta requests. Your email address, NinjaTrader Machine ID, Discord username and the tools you’re most interested in, plus anything else you choose to give: first name, data feed, the markets you trade, a note, and the pricing option the page showed. We use them to review your request, issue your license (it is tied to your Machine ID) and contact you about the beta, by email or in the FlowForged Discord. If we remove someone from the beta, we keep the email address, Machine ID and Discord username on their request so that a new request from any of them is refused. If you came to the site from a link with campaign tags, such as one of our ads on X, your request also carries those tags, the page you first landed on and the date, so we can see which ad brought you.
• Purchases and licenses. Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email address and what you bought, never your full card number. Your email address and Machine ID are stored with your license so the indicators can check it.
• License checks. When a FlowForged indicator starts, and from time to time while it runs, it checks your license with our licensing server. The server records your Machine ID, the product, the result, the time, and the IP address the check came from. FF Range Engine also downloads its data from this server, and each download is recorded the same way. We use these records to keep licenses working, to spot a license being used beyond what it covers, and to trace leaked copies of our software or data.
• Free tool usage. Once each time NinjaTrader runs with one of our free tools on a chart, the free tools send one usage report to our licensing server. It holds your Machine ID, which free tools are open and how many of each, the instrument and bar period of each chart they are on, the version of each tool and of NinjaTrader, and the time. The server also records the country the report came from, as reported by our network provider; the IP address is not stored with the report. Nothing about your accounts, orders, positions or files is sent. We use these reports to see which tools are used and how, to plan fixes and new features, and to match free tool use to a license held on the same Machine ID.
• Product update emails, only if you ask. The download and beta forms have an unticked box, “Also email me about new FlowForged tools and updates.” If you tick it, we record your email address, the exact wording you agreed to, the page, the time, and the IP address and browser that sent the form, as a record of your consent. You are added to the updates list only after you click the confirmation link we email you.
• Technical information. When you send a form, our server records your IP address and browser type. We use them to stop spam and abuse, and as part of the consent record above. Our hosting keeps standard server logs.
• Emails we send. A record of each email: who it went to, what kind of email it was, its subject and whether it was delivered.

Cookies and tracking

We use X’s conversion tracking pixel to measure how our ads on X perform. When you open one of our public pages, your browser loads the pixel from X (unless it sends a Global Privacy Control signal), and X receives the page address, your IP address and browser details, and may set or read its own cookies. When you send a beta request, the pixel tells X that a request was sent; we do not pass X your email address or anything else from the form. X handles this information under its own privacy policy.

Apart from the X pixel, our public pages set no cookies and run no analytics or advertising trackers. The member dashboard sets one cookie that keeps you signed in. A few pages remember display preferences (such as a light or dark theme) in your own browser’s storage, which never reaches us. The exception is campaign tags: if you arrive from a link that carries them, such as one of our ads, your browser keeps the tags and the page you landed on for 30 days, and the beta form sends them with your request. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. Links to Discord, X and Stripe take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Product update emails

We send product update emails only to people who ticked the box and confirmed. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. We keep an unsubscribed address on a suppression list so we never email it updates again. Emails you ask for, such as a download link, a beta reply or a license email, are part of the service and are sent whether or not you are on the updates list.

Who handles your information

We use service providers that process information on our behalf and only for the services they provide to us: Railway (website hosting and database), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payments) and the server that issues and checks licenses. We do not sell personal information, and apart from the X pixel described above, we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information when the law requires it.

Where it is stored and for how long

Your information is stored in the United States. We keep download, beta and license records while we offer that tool, beta or license, and delete them sooner if you ask. We keep license-check, download and free tool usage records for 180 days. We keep consent records while you are subscribed, and afterwards for as long as we may need to show that you agreed. Suppression list entries hold only the email address and are kept so that an unsubscribe or deletion request keeps being honored.

Your choices and rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and withdraw your consent to product update emails at any time. Email [email protected] from the address concerned and we will reply within 30 days. Deleting your information does not cancel a license you have bought, but we may then be unable to restore it.

If you are in the EEA or the UK: we handle your information to deliver what you asked for (downloads, beta access, purchases and licenses), with your consent (product update emails), and for our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure, preventing abuse and keeping records of consent. You may also object to processing and complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are in California: you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and to ask us to delete or correct it. We do not sell personal information. The X pixel described above may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, our pages do not load it. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Children

Our products are for traders aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to our database and admin tools is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the information we hold.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
